選挙と話題
民主主義の世界に住む我々にとって、選挙は大切だ。日本では、間もなく地方・中央、各種選挙を控えている。今日、多くの日本人にとっては、東京オリンピック開催問題と新コロナ対策が目の前にある大問題である。しかし私は、オリンピック問題もコロナ問題も選挙の論争点としはふさわしくない、不適当だと思う。
オリンピックは、短期間に行われ、やっても、やらなくても、来年になれば過去の話となる。強欲な人々にも、素朴なスポーツ愛好家達にも、過去の話となる。コロナ対応は、世界中の専門家の知恵、能力から学ばねばならない。選挙立候補の政治家達の能力外の課題である。そもそも政治ビジョンとは、地球温暖化対策、エネルギー源の検討、地域的更に地球的な貧富格差解消など、４年８年、更に長期間の社会の将来、発展を描き方向を示すものなのだ。
今、日本で身近な話題となっているのに、結婚と姓がある。男性側の姓・女性側の姓・両姓併称、どうするかというのだ。私は、こういうことはどうでも良いことだと思う。保険・納税等に際しては背番号・マイナンバー使用を徹底する方が良い。匿名性の保持にも役立つ。スエーデンでは、５０年以上前から背番号制度を全面的に採用している。外国と言えば、お隣りの中国・韓国では、昔から結婚しても女性の姓は変わらない。これを家長制度・男尊女卑と捉えるか、女性個人の人間性尊重と捉えるか、意見が分かれるところだ。離婚・再婚の頻度は今後増加する一方だろう。男女ともに姓名は通称・書面上変わらないというのが良いのかも。

Election and topics
The elections are important for us living in the democratic world. A number of elections will be held in Japan soon. Today, for many Japanese, the Tokyo Olympic Games and COVID-19 are the big topics. However, both the Tokyo Olympics and COVID-19 are not appropriate subjects to discuss at the elections.
The Olympic Games are held for a short period. To hold, to postpone or to skip, anyway they will be past matters for the next year. For the greedy people or for the naive sports lovers, the Olympic Games would be the memory of the past soon or later. Concerning to the new Corona virus, we have to learn from the studies of the medical experts in the world. The subject is far out of the capability of the candidates at the elections. We should discuss the political visions such as “Climate change mitigation”, “Energy resource investigation” and “The both global and local economic inequality”. Those subjects indicate our future in the time span of 4 years, 8 years and even longer.
There is a topic today in Japan. How a newly married couple should take their family name? His, hers or double parallel? I think they can name themselves as they like. Even a totally new one. For the insurance papers and tax papers, we should use the personal number (individual number). It helps to keep anonymity. The personal number system has been used at least for 50 years in Sweden. When we look around the world about this family name question, the neighbour countries of Japan, China and Korea, their wives keep their own family names. It has been a long time tradition for thousands years. If you consider it as a token of strong patriarchy, male chauvinism or as a token of strong individualism of women, to respect their dignity, up to you. The cases of divorce and re-marry will increase. For the both of women and men, to keep an original name can be good, nice, simple and convenient.
