| 政治は言語の戦い 世界の大衆に政治家は信用できるかと問えば、ＮＯだろう。 これは、実は当然である。 政治は言語の戦いである。言語は、記号・信号であり、受信側が正しく解読することを前提とする。さらに、文章と演説とは全く異なる。 演説には、音楽性があり、歌は言葉の原点である。演説は聞き流され、消え去る。しかし、扇動効果が高い。 政治家には、文章にも演説にも、専門の代筆業者がいる。チャーチルやヒットラーは自分で作っていたようだ。 生活会話の大部分は、無意味な言葉の羅列だが、本来は、先ず伝達の意思・内容を明確に持たねばならない。この、意思・内容は、言語として抽象化され言葉となる。言語使用とは事象を先ず一度抽象化し、照合する言葉を選び、発表する作業である。この作業は、日常、無意識に行われているので、単純・容易なことと思われているが、実は、大変高度な知的作業である。小説家、劇作家、詩人は、これを職業としているわけだ。 政治家の場合、当人（代作者）は、自分の知識・語彙・その語彙の意味が、大衆と同じだと信じているか、あるいは懸命に同調しようとしている訳だが、実はまったく通じていない。 理由は簡単で、大衆と政治家とは、生活体験・環境があまりにも異なるので、つまり、同じ言葉で違うことを言っているのだ。彼らは、毎日８時間働いて稼いでいないし、住宅ローンや子供の教育に追われていない。その上、政治家は彼等の生半可な能力・知能・知識で故意に内容を隠蔽し歪め、大衆は気が付かないだろうと、つまり、大衆を舐めている。 世界の大衆に政治家は信用できるかと問えば、ＮＯだろう。当たり前だ。 The politics is a fight of words. If you ask the folks in the world if they can believe their politicians, they will reply “NO”. It is natural. The politics is a fight of words. Words are symbols and signals. The receivers must correctly decipher the signals. Farther more the article and the speech are different. The speech has a character of music. The music is the origin of communication. Therefore a good speech has high effect to agitate even if it disappears in air. The words of politicians are usually produced by the script writers. W. Churchill and A. Hitler seemed to write their scripts by themselves. Most of our daily conversation consists of a parade of useless words. But if you do want to have a conversation, you must have the firm intention of what you will talk about. Then you have to seek and to pick up words which you think most suitable for the content. I.e. to speak a language is a process: to intend, to abstract, to choose words and to construct after the skeleton of the language. In our daily life we do this process unconsciously, easily and quickly. But as soon as when we write a sentence we realize it is not at all simple and easy. To write is a highly intellectual work. Novelists, scripters and poets, they live on this work. They are the professionals. In the case of politicians, they, their “script writers”, are sure their words mean same as the folks mean. Or they try to use same vocabulary as the folks’. But the fact is that politicians’ message doesn’t reach to the folks. Since the pattern of the folks’ life is far away different from the politicians’. Politicians do not work every day 8 hours to earn money for supporting their life. They are not chased by the housing loan and children’s education. Farther more, the politicians often try to conceal their intentions using misleading expressions and words, as if they could smartly cheat us. If you ask the folks in the world if they can believe their politicians, naturally they will reply “NO”. |
